Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Church of Santo Domingo to begin our walk. Its Romanesque facade is considered one of the finest in Spain, with an elaborately sculpted portal depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments.

We'll then head to the Palacio de los Condes de Gómara, the most emblematic civil building in the city. Built in the 16th century, this Renaissance palace stretches along an entire street with an imposing facade and a distinctive tower that has become a symbol of Soria.

Our route continues to the Plaza Mayor, the civic center of the city for centuries, surrounded by historic buildings including the town hall and the arcaded gallery where public proclamations were once made.

Next comes the Church of San Juan de Rabanera, another Romanesque gem, notable for its Byzantine-influenced apse and a portal that was moved here from a different church in the 19th century. We'll also see the Palacio de Alcántara, a striking example of Soria's noble architecture.

We'll then visit the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, home to one of the most venerated images in the city and a key part of Soria's Holy Week traditions. Before wrapping up the tour, we'll talk about the folklore and cuisine that make Soria unique. Ever wondered what a torrezno is, or how to pronounce it? You'll find out!

Our final stop will be at the Alameda de Cervantes, the city's green lung and the oldest public park in Spain still in use, a favorite spot for locals since the 16th century. We'll check out the famous Árbol de la Música (Music Tree) before saying our goodbyes. After approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, we'll wrap up the tour with a map and a few personalized recommendations for the rest of your stay.
