Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel and set off from Melbourne along the southeast coast of Australia. The Great Ocean Road awaits! Did you know this area has been inhabited for 40,000 years by Indigenous Australians? Throughout the journey, we'll share all the details about this incredible natural paradise.
After leaving the Melbourne city center, we'll take in views of the city and Port Phillip Bay as we cross the Westgate Bridge. Our first stop will be a charming coastal town, a local favorite for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beaches... the perfect place to connect with the ocean. We'll then continue along the route to the iconic gateway to the Great Ocean Road, where we'll make an essential photo stop.
As we press on, we'll pull over in a eucalyptus-lined area to try to spot wild koalas in the treetops. After this encounter with local wildlife, we'll continue through increasingly dramatic scenery, with rugged cliffs and sweeping ocean views stretching out before us.
Further along the Shipwreck Coast, we'll stop at Loch Ard Gorge, where your guide will share the fascinating story of one of the 19th century's most famous shipwrecks as you take in the stunning towering cliffs that surround it.
The highlight of the day comes at sunset: the Twelve Apostles. We'll watch as the golden light washes over these iconic limestone formations, creating a spectacle you'll never forget.
Finally, we'll make our way back to Melbourne, dropping you off at your hotel after around 12 to 13 hours on the road.
Please Note
Throughout the day, we'll make brief stops for you to grab lunch and dinner on your own. Times and locations may vary depending on the season.
