Tour Details

Welcome to the East End of Melbourne! At the time indicated, we'll meet at Federation Square and start our route around one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Ready?

Firstly, we'll learn about some of the most iconic parts of the city, such as the secrets of Federation Square, the Yarra River and the impressive St. Paul's Cathedral, the only neogothic building in the heart of Melbourne.

Then, we'll head to the East End, crossing AC/DC Lane, a street that pays homage to the mythical rock group. Did you know that Melbourne catapulted them to fame? We'll learn all about this impressive story! From here, we'll head into the bustling Degraves Street, a popular place among locals thanks to its lively bars.

Our next stop on this free tour in the East End will be the town hall, which will truly impress you due to its stylish architecture. We'll continue to Block Arcade and Royal Arcade shopping centres, two of the best spots in Melbourne to travel back to the Victorian times.

Afterwards, we'll walk down Bourke Street to arrive at Chinatown, a neighbourhood that has played a fundamental role in establishing Chinese culture in Australia. Near here, we'll find the pretty State Library Victoria, the oldest public library in the country. It was one of the first free libraries in the world!

On the home stretch of our tour, we'll come to the City Baths and Queen Victoria Market, two of the most important places in the East End.

After 2 hours of exploring, we'll return to the initial meeting point and end this tour
