On this day trip from Rio de Janeiro, we’ll explore Angra dos Reis aboard a pirate boat. We’ll sail through hidden bays, discover white-sand beaches, and visit places where Brazil’s nature reveals itself in all its splendor.
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro to begin this day trip to Angra dos Reis, one of the most spectacular destinations on Brazil’s Costa Verde.
After approximately 3 hours on the road, we’ll arrive at our destination. We’ll board a pirate boat to sail across its emerald waters and discover its most spectacular corners. In addition to its themed design, the boat also features a slide and diving platform for jumping into the water.
First, we’ll sail around the Botinas Islands, 2 islands famous for their crystal-clear waters that allow you to see the seabed directly from the deck. According to legend, they were formed after a vessel fleeing from an English fleet crashed into the island, splitting it in half and creating 2 islets in the middle of the sea.
Next, we’ll sail to Blue Lagoon, a paradise-like natural aquarium. Here, we’ll anchor so you can jump into the water and swim among schools of colorful fish while enjoying one of Brazil’s most photographed locations.
After approximately 1 hour, we’ll continue the boat ride toward Freguesia de Santana. We’ll disembark at this historic beach to relax on its stretch of sand and explore its idyllic surroundings for 2 hours.
Next, we’ll head to Japariz Beach, where, in addition to having free time to swim, you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch featuring delicious Brazilian dishes. The perfect finishing touch!
Finally, we’ll begin the journey back to Rio de Janeiro, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 14 hours.
