At the indicated time, we'll meet at your chosen meeting point to begin this fascinating tour to Wave Rock and York. Are you ready to see rock formations that will leave you speechless? Let's go!
We'll drive towards Hyden, where we'll find one of the most incredible geographical features of Australia. We'll pass through the hills around Perth and head into the agricultural area of this region.
Before visiting Wave Rock, we'll stop in York, the oldest township in the Avon Valley. We'll stroll through the streets of this town while we learn about its history, closely linked to the gold rush and cattle raising. This town is also full of peculiar buildings that are sure to catch your eye!
The tour will then continue traveling along the Wheatbelt Way. We'll pass through the farming villages of Corrigin and Kondinin, which are perfect to discover the essence of the Australian outback. And, from our vehicle, we'll also see the Dog Cemetery, dedicated to man's best friend.
Are you getting hungry? We’ll stop for a delicious picnic lunch at Wildflower Shoppe in Hyden, and, with our energy replenished, we’ll finally arrive at our next destination.
Once at Wave Rock, you’ll be amazed by the sight of these curious stone waves. Did you know this is a sacred site for the Aboriginal people? You'll be enchanted by its history!
And, before returning to Perth, we'll stop at Mulka Cave, the finishing touch to the tour. Inside, we'll find some cave paintings that tell an Aboriginal legend!
Finally, we'll finish the activity back at the meeting point after about 12.5 hours in total.
