We'll meet at the indicated time on Rue d'Arcole, just a few metres from Notre Dame Cathedral. From there, we'll start our walking tour of the Île de la Cité, one of the oldest and most emblematic areas of Paris.
For about an hour, we'll explore the secrets of this little island in the middle of the Seine, considered to be the birthplace of Paris. We'll stroll through its cobbled streets as we relive the past, from the Roman foundation of Lutetia to the Gothic Paris of the Middle Ages.
The star of the visit will undoubtedly be the Notre Dame Cathedral. We'll stop in front of its façade to admire its sculptures, gargoyles and rose windows. While we admire the exterior of the church, we'll explain the symbolism of its architecture and the different stages of its construction. A fascinating history lesson!
We'll also tell you about the impact of the 2019 fire and the restoration work that has been carried out since then. You'll be impressed!
