Blenheim Palace Day Trip + The Cotswolds or The Churchill War Rooms
Trip Options
When making your reservation, you can choose one of these options:
Blenheim Palace and the Churchill War Rooms
At the designated time, we'll meet at Bulleid Way, just by Victoria Station to start this deep dive into the war history and the British aristocratic grandeur. We'll leave the hustle and bustle of London behind and discover the places where life was shaped into one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century.
Our first stop will be the Churchill War Rooms. We'll visit the original underground bunker, which served as a secret headquarters during the war. We'll walk through its corridors, preserved as they were left in 1945, and see the Cabinet War Rooms, where crucial decisions were made, and the Map Room, which still preserves the original pins that tracked the movement of troops across Europe.
After exploring the bunker's secrets, we'll head to Blenheim Palace, a Baroque gem located in a country house in Oxfordshire, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This majestic building, finished in 1722, is famous for being the birthplace of Winston Churchill and the ancestral home of the Dukes of Marlborough.
We'll explore its opulent State Rooms, admiring the collection of portraits and tapestry, and visit the Gran Biblioteca and the exhibition dedicated to Churchill. We'll have time to stroll around its over 1976 acres (800 hectares) of parks and gardens, designed by the renowned landscape artist Capability Brown, and discover what service life was like in the display "Life Below Stairs."
We'll wrap up this 11-hour trip by returning to the starting point in London.
Days of operation: This tour runs through October 2026 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds
On this tour, we’ll visit Blenheim Palace, and instead of going to the Churchill War Rooms, we’ll explore the most charming villages in the Cotswolds.
The first town we’ll visit in this part of England is Burford. Known as the “gateway to the Cotswolds,” it’s one of the most visited towns in the region. We’ll stroll along its famous High Street and enjoy the views of the River Windrush. Its historic streets and buildings offer plenty of opportunities to take photos and grab a bite to eat on your own.
The next stop will be Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds.” It is one of the most romantic spots in England. The river that runs through the center of the village creates an idyllic landscape that invites you to explore it at a leisurely pace. You’ll be captivated from start to finish!
We'll wrap up this 11-hour trip by returning to the meeting point in London.
Days of Operation: This program takes place on the following dates:
